The Health Board’s Radiology Service is looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed individuals looking to advance their career pathways within this expanding Health Board.

This opportunity is open to suitably qualified and HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographers who wish to be part of an exciting busy service and who will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, effective communication and adaptability to meet the challenges encountered in the Radiology environment. They will need to be flexible and patient focused, committed to delivering the highest standards of clinical care.

With the opening of the Grange University Hospital radiology department in 2021 staff will have the exciting opportunity to work in a modern critical care centre with state of the art equipment.

The Health Board has invested heavily in high quality equipment for radiology to ensure the best possible 24/7 diagnostics for patients. The Radiology department at The Grange University Hospital will have 2 Interventional rooms, one of which will be a hybrid theatre, these will be equipped with Philips Azurion C90 flex arm machines. In addition there will be 2 Canon Aquilion one Genesis system CT scanners and a Siemens Magnetom Sola MR scanner. There is also a Canon Ultimax I fluoroscopy system and 4 Philips C90 Digital diagnost C90 Flex rooms. An Ultrasound service will also be provided with equipment to be purchased in 2020.

This will be an exciting opportunity for any radiographer to work in a new facility with the best equipment and an opportunity to gain experience and training to further promote your career.

There are various shift systems in operation and the successful candidate will be required to participate in these shifts once full training has been completed. The successful candidate will be required to work their shifts over 7 days as the services requires.

The successful Candidates will be based in the Grange University Hospital, the new Critical Care Centre, which is due to open in 2021. This development will offer the potential for future career development for Radiographers in ABUHB. The Radiographers will be required to work at other sites within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board as per service requirements.
