An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 physiotherapist to join Aneurin Bevan University Health Board's Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service in a new role which includes the opportunity to participate in the ABUHB Specialist Neuro rotation. We are looking for a self-motivated clinician who is a strong team player with the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and excellent communication skills . You will need a solid foundation in core clinical skills,  be prepared to embrace innovation and be committed to following evidence based clinical practice.

The post provides an excellent opportunity to further develop skills in the neurology field with opportunities to gain experience in the community neuro team as well as acute and rehabilitation inpatient settings. This new post embraces the health board vision of clinical futures by forging closer links and better understanding between hospital and community teams.

There will be an opportunity to work alongside senior clinicians from a range of professions including psychology and the third sector. You will also be supported by physiotherapy clinical specialists and the Clinical Lead in Neurology.

The Health Board encourages staff development through local and Health Board wide in-service training programmes, as well as participation in speciality forums, clinical audit, research and clinical supervision and mentoring.

We have a structured personal appraisal system with annual reviews underpinned by the Knowledge and Skills Framework. You will be actively involved in assisting in the education and mentoring of rotational staff and physiotherapy students whilst on placement from Cardiff University.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
