Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Band 5 Product Specialist/IT Trainer to join the Acute Programme based within the Informatics Department.

This post provides an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the digitalisation of our Ophthalmology service. Based within the Informatics Programme Team, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the development and deployment of a new Electronic Patient Record.

The successful post holder will be a key member of our Informatics team but also align to our Ophthalmology team working with clinicians, operational staff and ICT colleagues to identify and implement new ways of working to support this exciting business change.

The post holder will need to be flexible to ensure the benefits to the organisation and patients are realised through the implementation stage and future architectural design changes across the region. The post holder will report to the Senior Project Manager and work as part of a wider project team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will deliver work packages including staff training and product specialist advice to support successful implementation across the service and region. The post holder will link in with the Regional Eye Care digitisation programme and proactively identify opportunities to improve the EPR in service delivery.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
