Junior Clinical Fellow (Lower Level) in Trauma and Orthopaedics

Applications are invited for the positions of Junior Clinical Fellow (Lower Level) in Trauma and Orthopaedics commencing as soon as possible until 6th August 2019.
The post would suit applicants who would like to improve their Core Training experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics or are looking for definitive appointment at the ST level.
Working at CT level, the post holder will be attached to a consultant firm rotating every 6 months. All consultants are subspecialists and the surgical experience gained will be equivalent to a training post.
The progressive department is staffed by 18 Consultants which includes the past President of British Foot and Ankle Society and the past President of British Shoulder and Elbow Society.
The other Staff include 4 SAS, 6 Specialist Registrars, 7 FTA (SpR grade), 3 Core Surgical Trainees, 2 FP2 and 3 Clinical Fellows (CT Level).
The novel rota for core trainees has been devised with input from past trainee to maximise their training opportunities.
There is plenty of opportunity for research and audit. Every core trainee is encouraged to get involved in Audit projects which are presented in monthly Clinical Governance meetings.
The Royal Gwent Hospital is an Associated Teaching Hospital and busy District General Hospital.
Free parking is available across all Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Sites.

This position involves Regulated Activity with children and adults as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012) and the following checks will be undertaken following any conditional offer:
