We have a full time Junior Clinical Fellow in Care of the Elderly based at St Woolos Community Hospital vacancy.  This post is for upto 12 months with a potential to extend.  We are looking for applicants to start asap.

St Woolos Hospital is a Community Hospital setting, which considered a real asset to the local community. The hospital provides care to the population of the surrounding areas of Newport.

The hospital consists of three wards of predominately Care of the Elderly patients who are undergoing a period of rehabilitation and discharge planning. This is excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop the essential skills for Care of the Elderly and to go onto further areas of Medicine.

This post is full time and will participate there is no current need to join the on-call rota.

Educational opportunities are excellent with an active teaching programme in the local general hospitals such as the Royal Gwent Hospital and further community hospitals.

The post holder will experience a very broad spectrum of clinical experience and a collaborative interface with wider associated partners within medicine, Local Authority and Third sector organisations, aiming always to work together to provide an excellent patient experience.

This position involves Regulated Activity with adults as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012) and the following checks will be undertaken following any conditional offer:

Enhanced check with barred list information, including an adults barred list check


Applicants must hold full registration and a licence to practice with the GMC.
