Registered Nurse Opportunities (Outside of UK)

The Health Board is continuing their campaign to attract qualified nurses who are not in the UK. Financial and practical support is being offered to registered nurses so they can gain employment with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) and register as a nurse in the UK with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) is a forward thinking, dynamic and innovative Health Board, striving to always provide the very best safe and effective care for patients.

ABUHB is one of the largest health boards in Wales serving a population of >639,000 people. It is named after the founder of the National Health Service.

ABUHB employs 3,500 registrants across ten hospitals, community and primary care settings, with a new specialist critical care centre opening in 2021.

ABUHB is situated in South East Wales with good road and rail links to London and Birmingham.

Where required the programme will offer the following:

Exciting opportunities are available if you have an English Language qualification ie IELTS with level 7 in reading, speaking and listening and 6.5 in writing or Level B OET in all four parts of the test along with NMC CBT part one. You will commence as Band 4 - £21,089 pa, while preparing for and undertaking OSCE preparation. When working you will work in a supernumerary position and will work with the practice educators to prepare for OSCE.

On successfully obtaining your OSCE you will then progress to Band 5 Registered Nurse on receipt of your NMC PIN

Please submit your application ensuring you include full details of all your work experience and employment history, along with the date and country of your original nurse registration.

You should include all your relevant qualifications as well as dates and results of the required levels of IELTS or other English Language qualifications previously taken.  Please ensure you complete all the requested information as failure to do so may result in your application not being shortlisted at this stage.

If shortlisted you will be invited to take part in a SKYPE interview, Clinical Skills test & Medicine Calculation Test.
