An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic team looking after elective orthopaedic patients and acute trauma patients. This opportunity allows the successful candidate to rotate every 6 months between both our elective Orthopaedic Ward in ST Woolos Hospital Newport and our hip fracture ward in the Royal Gwent Hospital Newport. This will provide an excellent foundation in this speciality for an individual who is interested in nursing Orthopaedic patients either at the beginning of their career journey or someone looking for career development.
The successful applicant must have an interest in trauma, must be hard working, with good communication skills and be able to work well in a team. Individuals must be motivated, enthusiastic and reliable. You must be a team player who is committed to improving the patient experience.
The wards aim to give high quality care to both elective and trauma patients and the new team member must be committed to continual service improvement within these specialities.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
