THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, to become part of the Paediatric Special Needs ( PSN) team working in the Children’s Centre’s within ABUHB.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is able to provide assessment and support to children with complex needs. Experience of neurodevelopmental assessment will be an advantage, as we can provide opportunities to work within CAMHS. Dysphagia competencies are desirable. We are seeking a therapist who is dedicated to providing an excellent level of care to children, young people and their families, using evidence based practice to inform this.
We seek someone with a collaborative and considered approach, who can work collaboratively and effectively with others within both the SLT teams and the wider multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will contribute to the development of a service which is constantly seeking to improve.
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board offers a network of 90 therapists and assistants. Staff and team meetings take place throughout the year.
Staff receive regular supervision and training opportunities appropriate for their post.
