An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sleep Support Assistant/ Administrator to join the Sleep Medicine department within St Woolos Hospital for 22.5 hours per week. As this is a new role it will be a fixed term contract or secondment for 1 year with the working hours being agreed with the team and successful candidate. There are 2 identical roles available, 1 in St Woolos Hospital and 1 in NHH Hospital.
This is a newly designed role and the successful candidate will enjoy undertaking both Administrative and Health Care Support Worker duties with the expanding Sleep service. The role will include duties such as assisting with the management of sleep patients’ pathways, including referral input management, outpatient appointments, administering of Pulse Oximeters and downloading data.
The successful candidate will receive full training for any duties they are not familiar with.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
