An opportunity has arisen to join the Gwent Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. We are looking to recruit a 0.6 band 6 Psychiatric Nurse. The successful candidate will be based within the community teams and may be required to cover other areas of the service depending on service need. This post is essential to the running of the community team and will provide strong leadership to a clinical team of nurses. It will involve the assessment, intervention and evaluation of care for young people presenting with often complex and severe mental health presentations. This post will be required to ensure that a high standard of evidence based nursing care is delivered to young people and their families. This will frequently include effective multi-agency working. Clinical governance is a key feature to this post and the postholder will be responsible for a range of clinical governance activities to ensure all ABUHB policies, national strategy and national legislation are complied with and the standards of clinical practice are maintained and improved.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post
