An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the Ophthalmology Directorate Management Team. This is a busy Directorate with services situated throughout Gwent and also with external providers. The postholder will be responsible for day to day management issues and will help to develop practical service planning, and will support improvements in patient experience and care.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Directorate Management team and will work closely with Assistant Directorate Managers, Directorate Manager, nursing staff and consultants to ensure the delivery of a high quality service and compliance with organisational performance targets within the Directorate.

This role requires the successful candidate to have the ability to work under pressure, be able to demonstrate a commitment to achieving high quality standards of work and be flexible to the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
