We are delighted to offer an exciting opportuny for a motivated  enthusiastic  Registered Nurse to join our Ophthalmology unit. The ophthalmology unit provides outpatient, Theatre and Inpatient services but you will primarily be providing care in the outpatient department at the Royal Gwent Hospital and its satellite clinics on other ABUHB sites. Ability to travel to geographic sites to deliver service requirements is essential.

In order to develop the necessary specialist skills required of this post the successful applicant will complete the competency based framework and have access to the ophthalmology educational programme.

The ideal candidate  will have excellent communication skills, be reliable, hard working and work well within a team. The applicant must be a registered nurse. The ideal candidate must be expected to demonstrate commitment to their own personal development and show keen interest in the future development of the profession and ophthalmology services.

The vacancy is a part time (27.75 hours) position.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
