We currently have a vacancy within Ophthalmology Theatre Services/day case unit, for a motivated individual to provide peri operative surgical scrub skills and support Day case admissions and discharges whilst caring for patients in the recovery phase.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide surgical scrub skills in all Ophthalmology specialities within the directorate (Glaucoma, medical retina, occuloplastics, general, cornea). You will be required to participate in 24 hour on call service including weekends and bank holidays.
The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, be reliable, hard working and work well within a team. The applicant must be a registered nurse. It would be an advantage to have previous theatre or ophthalmology experience. The ideal candidate must be expected to demonstrate commitment to their own personal development and show keen interest in the future development of health care within Ophthalmology services
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
