Are you looking for a challenge? We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join the Head and Neck Services Team as a Macmillan Health Care Support worker.
The role will support the team in caring for head and neck patients at all points on their pathway. The role will include holistic needs assessment, facilitating patient support and wellbeing groups, providing patient and carer education and sign posting to allied services. The role will encompass management and tracking of patients on the single cancer pathway, coordinating collation, analysis and provision of the tracking and monitoring tools used within the service and Scheduled Care Division.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be flexible in their approach and be able to use their own initiative. They will also need to be able to work across all disciplines and be able to manage their time effectively.
A knowledge of head and neck cancer services and the single cancer pathway is desirable. Good communication and IT knowledge and skills is essential.
