Locum Consultant in Sexual and reproductive Health

Duration: up to 12 months from 1st June 2020

Based - Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport

 Full Time (10 Sessions)

We are looking for a capable person with a broad experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health who can lead the Menopause service and provide essential input to abortion care while the current consultant is taking maternity leave. We are a large and supportive service. You would co-lead the menopause service with a dynamic and highly skilled lead nurse in menopause care, and join several other doctors committed to providing a local abortion service to as many women as possible. Applications to work part time or cover part of the duties are welcome.

Free parking is available across all Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Sites.

This position involves Regulated Activity with adults as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012) and the following checks will be undertaken following any conditional offer:

Applicants must hold or be eligible to hold full registration and a licence to practice with the GMCCandidates for Consultant posts must also be on the GMC Specialist Register (including via CESR/European Community Rights) or will have a CCT/CESR(CP) date within 6 months of interview.
