Advert Band 5 Registered Nurse Co-ordinator/Endoscopy

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the endoscopy unit at the Royal Gwent Hospital. We are seeking a band 5 registered nurse to develop the role of endoscopy coordinator.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our well established endoscopy team at RGH.

The role will involve working closely with the booking department to manage and coordinate the inpatient endoscopy list as well as liaising with all wards daily to ensure they are fully aware of the patients due for procedures. The role will also involve undertaking patient consent in collaboration with the Medical Team. Full training given.

 

Good communication is essential to ensure patients are educated and fully prepared for their endoscopic procedures.

 

The post holder will be expected to liaise and communicate with members of the multidisciplinary team in the planning and delivery of patient care. The successful individual will be responsible for the provision of effective, efficient and appropriate high quality nursing care within the endoscopy department.

 

This is a fixed term full time post for a 6 month period. 37.5 hours per week. Hours of work negotiable.
