Job overview

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for a hardworking and experienced Service Manager for Theatres, Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Pain services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is a senior management professional within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB).

They will be expected to provide professional management support, leadership and expertise to ensure that services within the service are delivered effectively and efficiently in line with Divisional objectives and policy.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Educated to Masters Degree Level or Equivalent Demonstratable Experience
  • Management / Planning / Project Qualifications / Experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience working at a senior level in a large and complex organisation and healthcare setting
  • Demonstratable experience of Planning, Implementing long term strategy, Service improvements and managing organisational change
  • Experience in leading, motivating and managing teams

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate complex data
  • Showing good interpersonal skills with credibility and political acumen

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • IT literate - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Understanding of performance management and confidentiality
