An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated Band 5 nurse(s) to become part of the Royal Gwent Hospital’s Coronary Care Unit nursing team. The successful applicant will be required to participate in the planning and delivery of acute nursing care and support to a wide variety of patients and their families.

Whether already experienced in coronary care, looking for a change of direction in their career, or newly qualified, those appointed to the posts will benefit from a structured educational programme and be encouraged and supported in their professional development.

As well as working in the Coronary Care Unit the post holders will also support the cardiology ward, D3W, through internal rotation and telemetry. Nurses working on CCU/D3W will also be considered for rotation to our cardiac day unit and other cardiology wards and departments depending on experience and objectives set in their annual appraisal.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
