Are you an enthusiastic, self-motivated current Band 6/7 Cardiac Physiologist with strong echocardiography skills? We are currently seeking a suitably experienced echocardiographer to complement our team of the equivalent of five Band 7 full time sonographers on our journey towards the opening of a large state-of-the art Grange University Hospital in 2021 - with Cardiff, Bristol and the beautiful Brecon Beacons nearby.

Our busy department is performing the full complement of echo modalities including 3D transthoracic and transoesophageal echo, and pharmacological and physiological stress echo for a variety of indications on echo machines all new within the last 18 month.

We are taking pride in continuingly training Physiologists and Doctors alike and have a track record of success herein. Weekly constructive Echo in-house MDT and training sessions are well supported and attended. We are strongly committed to enable Physiologists to perform Physiologist-led specialist imaging services including Physiologist-led valve echo clinic, use of LVO and performing physiological stress echo.

Whilst mainly working at the Royal Gwent Hospital, you will have rotational commitments in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr near Caerphilly, and in the Community Cardiology Project.

You will have BSE accreditation and demonstrate your continuous professional development via a working portfolio and should hold either RCCP, AHCS or HCPC registration.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
