Do you want to excel as a Medical Leader in the community where the NHS has its roots?

We wish to recruit exceptional clinical leaders with professional stature to support our medical leadership in Primary Care.

We can offer you a unique learning environment where you can make a real difference. This is because we are one of the largest NHS organisations in the United Kingdom with integrated Public Health, Primary, Community, Mental Health and Secondary Care, serving a population of 600,000 in South East Wales.  There are over 1000 hospital and general practice doctors, 6,000 nurses, midwives, allied professionals and community workers. You will have opportunities to collaborate with wide range of internal and external teams and individuals and where you will be recognised for the contribution you make.

We are seeking two exceptional Primary Care Clinical Directors to join our Primary Care & Community Services Team who can maximise these unique opportunities and who have already demonstrated the ability to deliver sustainable, safe and effective primary care. As a key member of the Divisional Management Team, you will work closely with the Deputy Medical Director - Primary Care, Divisional Director, Divisional General Manager, senior managers and clinicians, including independent contractors, contributing to the management, development and service improvement agenda.

To join our team, you will already have current GMC registration, with a higher qualification in a medical speciality or General Practice and significant experience at GP or Consultant level. As part of your toolkit, you will have knowledge and understanding of wider political and social drivers that influence service delivery within the NHS and an understanding of the Modernisation Agenda.

You will support the continuing maturity of   Neighbourhood Care Networks in the planning and delivery of sustainable, safe and effective services by working closely between primary and secondary care, Local Authorities and the Voluntary Sector.

Closing date for applications: midnight on 22nd July 2018
