An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the dynamic community Learning Disability nursing team within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The post will be based in Caerphilly Borough initially however, in the future the applicant may be required to work in the wider Gwent area.  The ethos of the team is very much to provide specialist healthcare for people with a Learning Disability in a multi-agency and multi disciplinary format. The Health element of the team consists of Nurses, OT’s & OT Tech, Psychiatry & Psychology and Speech & Language Therapy We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated RNLD nurse who is willing to learn and enhance their current clinical skills. they must have a passion for delivering best practice for people with learning disabilities within an urban community setting. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be flexible in their approach and able to use their own initiative and dedicated to the service. Excellent time management skills are essential as this is a very busy but rewarding post.


The candidate will require sufficient post qualification experience of working with individuals who have a learning disability and be able to demonstrate knowledge regarding the complexity of delivering care within this patient group.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
