There has never been a more exciting time to join the acute medical team as we pioneer new ways of delivering health services in line with our unique and exciting clinical futures model. An exciting opportunity has arisen in Nevill Hall hospital, located in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. You could be joining an enthusiastic, vibrant team during an ambitious reconfiguration of acute medical services, taking account of the new state of the art The Grange University Hospital, which will be situated in an attractive, accessible location.
The new hospital is crucial to the Clinical Futures programme and will care for the most critically ill patients and therefore the division is seeking to increase the consultant workforce across the Health Board. We welcome applicants with a specialty interest and a desire to work flexibly to maintain work-life balance.
The successful applicant will join an established team of 6 physicians working in acute medicine who work flexibly to include both specialist interests and a work-life balance. We aim for a team of dedicated and enthusiastic physicians to manage medical patients at the front door 7 days per week, supported by a team of 16 other physicians.
The Health Board actively supports consultant doctors to undertake funded 3 month formal sabbaticals through an annual application process.
