Following on from an additional investment to support the Health Board’s exciting Clinical Futures programme which includes the opening of the Grange University Hospital in March 2020, the directorate is able to offer a Band 7 pharmacists posts to commence in August 2020.
A rotational programme of clinical specialities is offered to ensure individual development with specialist support. In this role you will build on previous experience, developing greater autonomy and responsibility whilst working within a multi-disciplinary team. Development opportunities will be in line with skills required to meet the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Advance Practice Framework and may include developing further clinical skills e.g. Non-medical prescribing skills and education and training skills e.g. pre-registration tutoring. The post will be rotational based in Nevill Hall and may involve clinical ward cover at Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan and could also incude CRT. The post may rotate through different sites and there may be opportunities to work within the pharmacy departments at the Grange University Hospital, Nevill Hall Hospital or the Royal Gwent Hospital.
As a conscientious and forward-thinking individual you will have responsibility for the delivery of a high quality clinical service and working within service development projects. You will work closely with and be supported by the Divisional Lead Pharmacists to continue your development in pharmacy practice and career progression. The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and excellent communication skills are an essential part of this role. Our patients are our highest priority so we welcome innovative suggestions for pharmacy practice whilst delivering excellence in pharmaceutical care.
