We currently have a great opportunity for afull time Senior Occupational therapist to join our Adult Mental Health service OT team in Monmouthshire. If successful, you will work initially for a period of induction to the mental health service in the in the North Monmouthshire community mental health team (CMHT) providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions as well as supporting delivery of the 'Recovery through activity' programme across the borough.
You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team and in collaboration with the rest of the OT team in Monmouthshire to deliver a quality mental health service to residents of North Monmouthshire. Following an induction period, the post will be based within the Assertive Outreach team which covers Monmouthshire borough. This would also include supervision of two OT support workers.
The post holder would work as part of a supportive and friendly team based in Maindiff Court Hospital, Abergavenny. This post will offer an excellent opportunity for a skilled and innovative practitioner to enhance their assessment and intervention skills as well as opportunities to supervise. Previous experience of working with adults with mental health difficulties is essential.
Occupational therapy is a highly valued service within ABUHB and we are strongly committed to service development, standard setting, clinical effectiveness and life long learning. We currently have numerous opportunities available for training in care aims, MOHO assessments and Recovery through activity workshops.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
