An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Families & Therapies Division to be part of the single points of access (SPA) for referrals for children and young people with disabilities and developmental difficulties. The successful post holder will be based for three days in Nevill Hall Children’s Centre, Abergavenny. There may be an expectation to travel between the children’s centres.
We require an administrator with a high degree of skill and ability to support the work of the ISCAN service under the direction of the ISCAN co-ordinator. The work will be varied and challenging and the post holder must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience of working at a high level within an administrative role. The successful applicant will have excellent written and spoken communication skills and a proven ability to work in frontline environments. The post holder will be confident working on the telephone and face-to-face, and be able to work autonomously within a supportive and friendly team. Duties include providing a full range of administrative support to the team including: referral tracking, adding information onto a computerised database, filing, photocopying, archiving and typing. The applicant should be very experienced in using large databases and also be a competent user of MS Office, email and the internet.
Previous experience of working within a health / social care setting is highly desirable. Applicants with relevant experience will be considered favourably. If successful you will be supported in the development of skills and knowledge in line with the role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
